 Women's Fashion

 - Woman’s fashion was very different back then compared to now.
 - Woman were rarely seen in pants and wore dresses or skirts

- The “FLAPPER” look was a young woman who dressed in outrageous dresses.

 - For young woman, the “FLAPPER” look was most popular.

- The woman in the 1920’s would wear shorter, having a hem line above

their knees and their clothes would be lighter material and brighter colours.
   (Women started dressing
this way because of women's rights. Women wanted

to know that they had the freedom to do and dress how they wanted to.)
 - The dresses showed no curves due to the waistlines dropping and hemlines

   rising.
 - Woman would usually add designs on their skirts or dresses such as candy and
    flowers

                                                                          Men’s Fashion

 -
Men’s fashion was not as fashionable as the woman.

     -   The men that worked in the coal mines would usually wear overalls and an old shirt

because their clothes would get dirty.

     -  When there was a formal occasion. The men would dress up in suits with high-waist

        jackets.

   -       The trousers would be shorter at the bottom often showing the man’s socks.
